The Northfield Quickstep Mandola tips it's hat to the mandolas of the early 1920s, while adding modern refinements with features such as a slightly longer 16.5" scale length and an elevated fingerboard.  The Adirondack red spruce top and highly figured maple back and sides give this instrument an incredible mid-range and sparkling top end, while maintaining a low-end sustain and a quick responsiveness.  Spirit varnish finish in Ox Amber.
