This Menzies 4-string gourd banjo has 3 long strings and one short string. The hand carved pine neck has an oval peghead, and it’s attached to a 10" diameter round gourd with a soundhole on the side. The 8-1/2” diameter skin head is glued and tacked in place. It’s also equipped with ebony violin pegs and nylgut strings. It’s about 40" total length, with a scale length around 25-1/2".
