Equipped with a Fishman Aura VT pickup system, the Martin 000-28E Modern Deluxe brings a new level of versatility to the innovative Modern Deluxe platform. This model is built with a torrefied Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides. The pickup system has controls in the soundhole for easy access. Traditional touches include a tortoise plastic pickguard, herringbone top trim, and gold open gear tuners with butterbean buttons. Cutting edge features include a titanium truss rod, a maple/carbon fiber "sandwich" bridgeplate, and Liquid Metal bridgepins. The result is an ultra lightweight guitar with classic Martin tone. The shorter 24.9" scale lightens string tension for easier fretting and note bending.
