This turn-of-the-century L-1 is historically significant and features pumpkin finished and bound carved spruce top, re-finished maple back and sides, ebonized pearwood fingerboard, and original 3-on-a-plate tuners. Missing parts, old repairs evident, needs lots more repair work, this very old Gibson would make a great shop project or wallhanger. NO CASE. Made in USA. (needs parts and much work - sold AS-IS)

- Red-brown finished sides and arched back have been refinished (back is shrunk and loose)
- 12-3/4" lower bout, 2-3/4" body depth
- 18 fret white-bound ebonized pearwood fretboard
- Pearl dot markers
- 1-11/16" nut width, 23-5/8" scale
- "V" neck profile
- Gold silkscreened script "The Gibson" in headstock
- One single cross brace under top (like a Gibson A mandolin)
- Orville label in soundhole
- 2 filled holes in the top
- Damage to soundhole/rosette from pickup mounting
- Jack hole in side
- Heel severed
- Original engraved 3-on-a-plate tuners with ivoroid buttons
- NO CASE
- Made in Kalamazoo
