    Set is DGBE, 4th to 1st, bass to treble, the first two strings are red nylgut, 3rd and 4th are metal wound strings. Made in Italy. 

    Aquila Red Series strings are nylgut infused with red copper powder for increased density.  They are slightly rough to the touch eliminating the slight squeak sometimes heard with nylgut.
