A remarkable example of Gibson’s high-end banjo craftsmanship, this 1928 TB-6 has been expertly converted to a five-string banjo with a conversion neck by Jim Yarboro (c.1980), later reshaped and refined by Chris Cioffi in 2010. It retains its original 40-hole archtop tone ring, gold-plated and engraved hardware, and the distinctive checkerboard purfling found on the headstock, neck, fingerboard, and resonator. The original tenor neck is included. Includes a modified original tenor hard shell case. On consignment.
