GIBSON A-4 (1916): VG-EC, black carved spruce top, red stained sides and one-piece back, mahogany neck joins body at 10th fret, 21-fret ebony fingerboard with treble side extension and pearl dot inlays, 1-3/16" nut width, ~14" scale, oval soundhole with ivoroid binding, ivoroid soundhole rosette with inlaid wood rope pattern on each side, ivoroid-bound body and fretboard, fleur-de-lis and "The Gibson" pearl inlays in headstock, 4-on-a-plate open gear tuners with ivoroid tuner buttons, ebony bridge, "The Gibson" engraved tailpiece, tortoise plastic pickguard, pickguard stamped "PAT.MAR.30.'09", pickguard bracket stamped "PAT.JULY 4, 1911", very clean paper label, additional red paper label reads "J.J. LEVERT - IMPORTER - TEACHER AND DEALER - MONTREAL," fine sound, on consignment, with OHSC (purple lining) (SN:27017)
