EC+, In the 1970's, Rolfe Gerhardt made Unicorn mandolins. He set aside some of his best Douglas Fir top wood for future use and this is the result. Sunburst finish on signature double-cutaway body, tightly grained Douglas fir top with f-holes and fir tone bar bracing, highly flamed red maple back, sides and neck, pearl-dot inlaid radiused ebony fretboard, adjustable bridge with "Timeless Timber" maple base and ebony saddle, ebony peghead overlay with pearl unicorn inlay, moose bone nut, "Phoenix" engraved cast tailpiece, nickel hardware, interior commemorative Unicorn label and hand signed production label, with molded OHSC (burgundy lining) (SN:499)
