VG-EC, signed and dated by Lloyd Loar on March 31, 1924, triple-bound body and tortoise plastic pickguard, triple side-bound headstock with pearl fern and "The Gibson" inlays, pearl button tuners, "The Gibson" tailpiece cover (Loar-style), adjustable ebony bridge (stamped "PAT'D JAN. 18 21"), sunburst finish flamed maple neck and body, carved spruce top, Virzi Tone Producer (serial number 10115, small repaired crack on bass side near edge), very rare, fully original except frets 1 through 12 have been replaced, some finish wear but not bad and modified fngerest mount, sounds great, back center seam has been reglued at endblock, a small chip in the treble side cutaway has been reglued and 3 small fingerboard cracks have been repaired on the extension, on consignment, includes two cases, modern deluxe white Calton HSC (black lining) and oblong OHSC in good condition except for missing handle (bright red interior) (SN:79824)
