GIBSON STYLE 3 CONVERSION (1926-1927)
-
VG-EC except repaired neck crack behind nut (difficult to see), original 3/4" rim with 40 hole archtop tone ring (serial number indicates 1926 but we believe this left the factory a bit later), two-piece flange, dual coordinator rods, conversion 5-string mahogany neck with 1-5/32" nut width, 26-3/8" scale, white-bound rosewood fretboard, hearts and flowers inlays, fiddle-shaped peghead with Bella Voce inlays, five geared tuners with ivoroid buttons, modern tailpiece, double white-bound maple resonator (appears original except it is refinished dark cherry and the serial number is stamped inside, which is unusual), nickel hardware, railroad spikes at frets 7, 9, 10 and 12, good sound, with modern red-line HSC (SN:8528-3)
