VEGA FAIRBANKS WHYTE LAYDIE NO. 2 (1910): EC, 10-15/16" Fiberskyn head, maple rim with tortoise plastic interior binding (binding on outer edge replaced, looks good), 2-piece maple neck, ivoroid-bound 22 fret ebony fingerboard with engraved dot, oak leaf and star inlays (first 3 frets replaced), 1-5/16" nut width, 27" scale, Whyte Laydie tone ring, bracket band, 28 brackets (some new nuts), No Knot tailpiece, ebony heelcap and peghead overlay, engraved pearl griffin, oak leaf and star headstock inlays, five mechanical friction tuners with ivoroid buttons, dowel stick is stamped "FAIRBANKS BANJO / MADE BY / THE VEGA COMPANY / BOSTON, MASS." and is stamped "NO 2" on one side and "WHYTE LAYDIE" with serial # on the other, good sound, on consignment, with newer SSC - price reduced (SN:26599)
