NATIONAL WAIKIKI 6-STRING LAP STEEL GUITAR AND AMPLIFIER COMBO (late 1940's): EC- both lap steel and amplifier, a few minor wear marks, solid symetrical slope shouldered body with faux wood-grain blonde finish, silk-screened fretboard with roman numeral position markers, pickup, volume and tone controls mounted on chrome plate, string through pickup with off-set 3 and 3 pole-piece construction, seperate bridge/tailpiece plate, "National" logo plate pinned to headstock, open-back 3-on-a-plate tuners with white plastic replacement buttons, cloth covered output cable is mounted through side of body, with tweed covered OSSC (blue plush lining) - amplifier has matching faux wood-grain blonde with shaded edges finished cabinet, round speaker cutout with stylized "Tree" center and black/copper grille cloth, approximately 6 watt output, two 1/4" inputs, combination on/off volume control and one 8" speaker, leather handle is broken but all there, original 2-conductor power cord with replacement plug, 4 tubes, 1 each 6SJ7, 6SF5, 6V6 and 5Y3, with tan fabric cover
