The repair shop has been part of Elderly Instruments for over 30 years. We were one of the first to establish a policy of inspecting every instrument that we acquire for sale, new or used, adjusting and repairing as necessary to insure excellent play-ability for the customer. Click here for the details of our inspection/adjustment process for new instruments.
The high standards of our repair shop have been set and maintained by some of the most talented people in the industry, including past repair shop managers Bart Reiter (renowned banjo builder) and T. J. Thompson (vintage Martin specialist & guitar builder). In 1995, our facility expanded into a 3000 square foot space including a spray booth and a state-of-the-art machine room. The current staff of 10 has over 150 years combined experience in the field..
We offer service, repair, and restoration on all fretted instruments, including acoustic, electric, and resonator guitars, banjos, mandolins, and ukuleles.
