Natalie MacMaster
hot platter! IN MY HANDS
-
Cape Breton's fiddle and dance sweetheart continues to break new ground on this 1999 release. The title track features Natalie's vocal debut, in a sort of Cape Breton rap. Other tracks include programming, horns, electric guitars, keyboards and drums. Overall, a much more contemporary, dynamic feel than her previous recordings. Highlights include Natalie sparring with Mark O'Connor on "Olympic Reel," and Alison Krauss' beautiful vocal on "Get Me Through December."
