HARTEL MINSTREL BANJO, REED MARTIN MODEL: Reproduction of a curly maple minstrel banjo built by an unknown maker circa 1880 and now owned by "player's player" Reed Martin. Light-stained tiger maple neck with scoop at rim, square-ish peghead with ebony violin pegs, hand-cast eagle and shield bracket shoes, "church key" tailpiece. Handmade by James Hartel. NOTE: We do not have a hardshell case to fit this banjo. Usually a resonator banjo gigbag works well, or a 00-size guitar gigbag.
