RIBBECKE HALFLING JAZZ GUITAR & CASE: A very fine and unique jazz guitar from Luthier Tom Ribbecke. The "Halfling" utilizes elements of both flattop and archtop guitar design. Bass response has been enhanced with a flatter top and upper bout soundhole on the bass side. The treble side has the more typical arch to maintain note and chord clarity. Other features include 17" wide body with highly flamed maple back and sides, Sitka spruce top, 5 piece neck with backstrap and ebony peghead overlay, bound top, back, neck & headstock, plain ebony fretboard with side dots only, fabulous custom ebony tailpiece, adjustable bridge & pickguard / fingerrest, Kent Armstrong floating pickup, amber-burst nitrocellulose lacquer finish, 25" scale, 1.75" neck width @ nut, bone nut, 2-way truss rod, gold tuning machines and shaped wooden hardshell case.
