DEERING GOODTIME OPENBACK BANJO with SCOOPED FRETBOARD
Student model with 3-ply rim, Deering's traditional peghead shape and walnut bowtie fretboard inlays. Fretboard scooped above the 17th fret for easy playing over the neck. - All natural finish, maple neck and 11" 3 -ply rim, frosted plastic head with 16 brackets, 4 guitar-type tuners, geared 5th string peg, excellent tone and playability, fine beginner's instrument. The scoop is a feature preferred by many players of old time frailing and clawhammer, not desirable for bluegrass or other styles that use the upper end of the fretboard. Made in the USA
