NEW - This wonderfully original addition to the mandolin realm comes from Italian luthier, Corrado Giacomel. With a rich, balanced sound and excellent projection, these instruments are being championed by mandolin virtuoso, David Grisman, and we are extremely pleased to be able to offer them here. Rooted in the finest mandolin building traditions, this completely hand-built J5 features a highly stylized 2-point body design with a very distinctive "scroll," highly flamed maple back, sides & neck with amber-tint varnish finish, spruce top with X-brace, stylized f-holes & varnish finish, profiled ebony fretboard with block pearl inlay, rosewood binding on top, back, fretboard & headstock, "Giacomel" & ornate peghead inlays in ebony overlay, rosewood backstrap, gold tuners with pearl buttons, custom ebony pickguard, tailpiece & adjustable bridge, 1-1/8" neck width @ nut, adjustable truss rod, 13-13/16" scale and rectangular hardshell case. A very, very fine instrument.
