Set of 3 single coil "S" style pickups. Hear the twang of the strings as the arrows start to fly. Full bodied, expressive and punchy; genuine '50s Strat® tone. Vintage staggered hand-beveled, the Apache single coil set comes with Alnico III magnets and is scatter wound by hand with original heavy Formvar wire. With a little extra muscle in the bridge and a reverse wound, reverse polarity middle, the wind is vintage hot for better balance and more versatile performance. The reverse wound, reverse polarity middle pickup allows for hum cancelling in position 2 and 4 of a 5 way switch. Real 1950s attitude and tone starts here, right down to the waxed cloth hook up wire; you'll have to practice the walk though!
