ARK NEW ERA "MILLIE" & CASE: Introducing the "WLS Barn Dance" series of guitars from ARK New Era, as designed by the Larson brothers and played by WLS musicians. This is a repro of "Millie," originally played by Mildred Good, one of the "Girls of the Golden West" and later by "Arkie" the Arkansas Woodchopper. It is a fine tribute instrument. Features include a large 16" lower bout body, maple back & sides, spruce top with abalone purfling & rosette, signature Larson Brother's laminated X-brace (spruce/rosewood/spruce), distinctive tortoise pickguard, bound soundhole, ebony truncated pyramid pin bridge, maple neck (1-3/4" @ nut) with centerstrip, radiused ebony fretboard with distinctive inlay, "Millie" peghead inlay, nickel Waverly vintage open gear tuners with oval buttons, bound body, neck & headstock, gloss nitrocellulose finish, rich dark-burst back, sides & neck with tinted natural top, 25.5" scale and shaped wooden archtop-archback hardshell case. Big sound with a fine punchy bass, excellent balance and good note definition. Very,very nice. Please note that there is some minor shopwear on this guitar and the price has taken this into account. Enjoy the time travel this guitar allows.
