All solid mahogany body, ebony fingerboard with abalone dots, banjo-style peghead with an ebony overlay, 21&quot; scale length, 32&quot; total length, upper bout 8&quot;, lower bout 11&quot;, round sound hole with wood-inlaid rosette, black plastic binding, and ladder bracing. 5-Star geared planetary tuners, bone nut, floating ebony bridge. Originally intended for banjo players and tuned in fifths, this instrument can be tuned an octave lower than a fiddle or mandolin, in both standard (GDAE) and a variety of open tunings.
