Elderly Instruments Lesson InstructorKeith Billik5-String BanjoBluegrass and other 3 finger styles All Levels $17.00 per 1/2 hour By appointment only, must contact Keith at the store to schedule. (517) 372-7880 Keith has been a musician most of his life, first learning saxophone and piano before discovering his love for the guitar during his high school years. The true epiphany occurred when he was given a cheap old banjo by a college friend, and that became his primary instrument to this very day! Having been influenced by bluegrass, rock, jazz, and world music, it should come as no surprise that Keith has mastered the 3-finger banjo not only in a bluegrass context, but for many other styles as well. Having taught banjo students of all levels for nearly 6 years, Keith is a friendly and patient instructor. He has also co-ordinated (with mandolin instructor Alan Epstein) several Elderly Bluegrass Ensemble courses, which gathers students of any instrument into a makeshift band to learn how to arrange, perform, and listen to bluegrass music! Keith also happens to be the Showroom Assistant Manager at Elderly Instruments, so if you are in the market for a banjo (or any other instrument), chances are good that he can help you find the best value for your budget! You can even ask him for a free in-store demonstration of any model you like. |
