A Second Session of Chris Hamilton's Novice Ukulele Workshop

Chris Hamilton is well equipped to teach the ukulele--to novices and advanced players alike, to young children and those old enough to remember Arthur Godfrey's contribution to the ongoing popularity of this delightful little instrument. Chris began playing piano at age 5, and has been teaching piano successfully for years. He's also expert on the baritone horn, upright and electric bass, and guitar, in addition to the "dancing flea" of Hawaii.

After high school he attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood while studying electric and upright bass with L.A. studio musicians. After returning to Michigan, he then completed a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition degree at MSU while continuing to study piano and upright bass. He has performed with various Michigan and California bands and currently plays bass with the class rock band "Stretch-n-Two."

This "second session" novice ukulele workshop is for beginning players who know little about the uke. While the first (February 3) session is NOT a prerequisite for this March workshop, students attending the second session will benefit from being able to tune their instrument and strum a few basic chords.
The session will largely begin with new material, where the February 3 workshop left off.
