Titled "Keep Your Band Focused and Gigging," this 90-minute workshop explores proven advice, suggestions, hints, and tips from a long-successful band leader. Harmonious Wail's Sims Delaney-Potthoff, having experienced nearly two decades of successful band leadership, will help you find your genius in starting a band [including how to best conduct auditions], formating and conducting rehearsals, presenting arrangements that fit the instrumentation and player-level, and how to keep everyone "on the same page and pulling in the same direction." Sims offers tips and hand-outs on getting gigs and how to talk to agents, club owners, concert presenters, and promoters. Questions and discussion are encouraged.
