Formed around the song-writing of two life long friends, Dutch Henry is an Americana/Alt. Country band from West Michigan. This is a guitar band that embraces their Midwest roots, staying true to the joy that comes from playing this music live, and unique in the fact that they can really play their instruments.
Always plain spoken, their song-writing shows the craft that is country music set against the reckless backdrop of twin guitars on the edge of overdrive.
Drawing its name from a character in the Jimmy Stewart movie "Winchester '73", Dutch Henry was raised on traditional country music. The father of one of its members played bass on the cult country classic 'Psycho' by Jack Kittle.
With fine song-writing from all of its members and a tight energetic live show, Dutch Henry is poised to become an important player in the cause of alternative country.
