Frank Lee has been performing and teaching banjo for over twenty years. Always intrigued by early recordings of country music, his musical focus is drawing him toward the oldest styles of banjo playing found on 78rpm records. An Atlanta native, Frank has a special fondness for Georgia stringbands such as The Skillet Lickers and The Georgia Crackers--a fondness which he has shared with a wide audience as a founding member of The Freight Hoppers. He is a Rounder recording artist and has an instructional banjo video on the Homespun label.
