Jazz musicians such as Louis Bellson or Buddy Rich became masters of the craft of playing two bass drums. Their skills inspired a whole generation of Rock drummers in the late 60s such as Ginger Baker (Cream) to copy their great Jazz heroes and rock music was greatly enriched by this innovative playing technique. Over the years, more and more drummers were attracted to his technique and their unique hammering beats created the foundation for new styles of Rock music. Examples are Mikkey Dee of Motorhead, Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Joey Jordison from the band Slipknot or Simon Phillips (TOTO). The songs on the CDR are composed in the style of these bands.
