He covers essential bluegrass roll patterns and topics like straight time vs. playing with a bounce, and how to practice with a metronome. Designed to get new players on the track and refocus experienced players on the basics. He also spends time on the most effective approaches to common left hand techniques, and things that are more important than they seem: posture, relaxed playing, more. He teaches 21 licks and shows you how to use them to improvise and 20 chordal exercises to help you become more familiar with the neck.
