He's one of the greatest musicians County Donegal ever produced, and one of the tiny handful of Irish fiddlers whose style is so distinctive as to be instantly recognizable. Oddly, recordings of this charter Bothy Band member and latter-day legend are few in number, so it's a special event indeed when a new one appears---in this case, an unfinished album from 1985, finally completed upon his move to Massachusetts in 2002! The 11 earlier tracks are accompanied by Alec Finn, De Dannan's incomparable bouzouki man; the five new cuts feature former Solas guitarist John Doyle.
