He's best known as a top bass player on the bluegrass and "new acoustic music" scene, but Mark Schatz has many more musical sides and this album spotlights lots of them. Mark is a great banjo player and mandolinist. He wrote most of these tunes, sings a duet with Alison Krauss, and even clogs (to Tim O'Brien's fiddling) on one track. With sidemen like Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, and Stuart Duncan, Mark has made one of the most enjoyable albums of 1995.
