A charter member of the groundbreaking Kentucky Colonels in the early `60s, then a member of the Byrds in their countrified "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" incarnation, Clarence White's guitaristic influence has cast a long shadow, despite his tragic death at a young age. He was a completely original bluegrass picker of unerring taste, powerful (almost bewildering) sense of time, and (when the spirit moved him) brilliant speed. This treasure, recently unearthed, is 45 minutes of just Clarence and his Martin D-18, playing tunes with guitarist Roger Bush accompanying---all acoustic, all previously unreleased anywhere.
