UNEARTHED: Before a car accident ended his performing career in 1982, Nic Jones was one of the major figures of the British folk scene; he was a terrific singer, a peerless guitarist, and a witty and charismatic performer. With most of his original albums now out-of-print (except for the magnificent "Penguin Eggs," SHAN-CD79090), Nic has started gathering old tapes and releasing them on his own label. This two-CD collection of concert recordings, studio outtakes, and other rarities gives a fine sampling of Nic in his prime. Over 30 songs and guitar tunes including "Ten Thousand Miles," "Clyde Water," "Warlike Lads of Russia," "Annachie Gordon," many others.
