Avid collector and promoter of traditional Appalachian music, he created the longest running folk festival in America. But he was a great singer and banjo picker, too. In this collection are some wonderful performances from 1928 and 1949, lovingly remastered and annotated with complete lyrics and notes. The original "Mountain Dew" is a gem!
