HERE AMONG STRANGERS: Siucra ("SHOO-kra"; it's the Irish for "sugar") is one of our very favorite latter-day Irish music bands, and they deliver more energy than you might think; there are only three of them, but they generate enough warmth to fill any concert hall, and enough sheer instrumental electricity to light up any session! Now relocated from Denver to Boston, they've issued their second album on their own label, and we look for Siucra's following to grow ever larger. Silvery vocals from Beth Leachman are wedded to Shannon Heaton's powerful flute-playing and Matthew Heaton's beguiling, ever-tasteful guitar.
