This software takes you from beginner to advanced levels. In the beginner's section John covers the basics: reading music, chord shapes, rhythmic patterns, and right- and left-hand dampening. He demonstrates these elements, both in standard and "dropped D" tuning, using easy jigs and reels. Substitute chords are introduced to increase the harmonic interest of the tunes. As you advance in knowledge the jigs & reels become more complicated. The advanced section also explains polkas, slides, slip jigs and hornpipes.
