LAMSON EBONY 1/2" BALANCED BRIDGE FOR 5 STRING BANJO: An exciting new addition to the banjo world!! Wayne Lamson has designed a new bridge that offers balanced volume, projection and tone from string to string. Each string sits directly over a circular hole that directs the vibration of the string through the same amount of wood and over the same distance on the way to the banjo head. This gives each string the same volume and sustain. The base of the bridge is also supported which aids in preventing sagging of the bridge and adding to the tonal projection. The third string can be compensated, either short or long, by simply turning the bridge around.
