GIBSON A-1 (1907): VG-EC, dark pumpkin color carved spruce top, red stained back and sides, pearl "The Gibson" inlaid in headstock, unbound ebony fretboard with pearl dot inlays, celluloid-bound top, replacement ebony bridge, "The Gibson" engraved "pineapple" tailpiece, 4-on-a-plate tuners with ivoroid buttons, dual rope-style purfling rings as soundhole rosette, original tortoise plastic pickguard (PAT. APPLIED FOR), 10-1/2" lower bout, ~14" scale, 1-1/8" nut width, "Orville" label with picture of Orville Gibson and lyre-mandolin, no cracks in top, back or sides, back has been off or reglued at some point and there are six dents around edge of top and back from clamps without pads, on consignment, with new flat-lid HSC (black lining) (SN:8043)
