GIBSON / RECORDING KING TENOR BANJO (1939)

EC-, 11" skin head, rolled brass tone ring, 24 brackets, original one piece flange, thin 7/16" maple rim, one coordinator rod, sunburst finish on rim, neck heel and resonator back, 2-1/4" deep arched-back maple resonator with double white binding, maple neck, bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl fan shaped inlays, 19 frets, black painted peghead face with pearl fan inlay and "Gibson" is silk-screened in black on block inlay (appears to be an original silkscreen - very rare to see this on what is essentially a Recording King model banjo), four pancake tuners with pearloid buttons, "GROVER PATENT" tailpiece, 1-1/4" nut width, ~22-5/8" scale, with OHSC (blue lining) (SN:EW-512)
