EC-, made in Gardena, California just before Dobro sold the name to Mosrite, Allen Shelton was known for playing one of these, and they later inspired the reissue of the so-called "Dobjo" in the late 1980's. Natural finish with sunburst headstock back (original), bolt-on 5-string maple neck, ebony fingerboard with large dot inlays, 22 frets, railroad spikes at frets 7 and 10, 4 geared tuners (open back guitar style) with white plastic buttons and one metal 5th string friction tuner, metal logo plate on headstock, natural finish double white-bound body, C resonator (National style biscuit cone, coverplate has 6 groupings of of 4 rectangular cutouts), 12 1/2" holes around resonator on body, 14" lower bout, 1-3/16" nut width, ~25-3/4" scale (neck meets body at fret 16), chips out of fingerboard edge at frets 13 and 15, brown textured plastic tailpiece, on consignment, very rare, made by Mosrite (SN:50827)
