J.B. SCHALL (c.1900): VG-EC except needs some minor work (file sharp fret ends, shim neck angle, adjust head tension, setup, etc. - sold AS-IS), black painted neck and thin wood rim, ~12-5/8" metal clad rim (edges of rim finish have been touched-up with newer black paint), skin head, ~27-7/8" scale, 1-1/4" nut width, 17 frets, pearl moon and star with engraved pearl shell inlays in headstock, ebony fretboard with nickel silver inlay at end of fingerboard after the 17th fret, varied pearl inlays at frets 1, 5, 7, 10 and 14, ebony clad tailpiece, strung with nylon strings, action is a bit high, 5 mechanical friction tuners with plastic buttons, 30 brackets (at least one replaced nut and hook), nickel silver heel cap, dowel stick stamped with "J.B.SCHALL - MAKER - CHICAGO, ILLS,USA"
