GIBSON LES PAUL SPECIAL (mid 1959): EC, holy soapbar here's a fine example of a very short lived Les Paul model, TV (limed mahogany) finish, double cutaway mahogany body, mahogany neck, bound rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, 22 frets, 2 screamin P90 pickups, pots dated 44th week of '58, switch is away from the bridge (making this the last version of the LP Special (by late fall of '59 Gibson would rename this the SG SPecial), wrap over bridge / tailpiece, all original except new (repro) 3-on-a-plate tuners, strap buttons and extra ground wire to jack (installed a long time ago), a very cool machine, 1-11/16" nut, 24-3/4" scale, with newer Gibson HSC, on consignment (SN:7190)
