ALTON SAUNDERS (1896): G-VGC, made in Reading, Mich. (Saunders later worked out of Toledo), flat arched Strad type model, one piece back of nicely flamed maple, golden-yellow varnish, back has button graft, a couple of repaired cracks on the top plus has been regraduated and new bass bar by Dave Ross, nice rich full tone that has a penetrating type quality, on consignment
