Maple neck, rim & resonator with brown satin finish, resonator pops off instantly for openback play, grenadillo wood tone ring, no flange (bracket hooks attach through a nickel-plated tube which also holds the pop-on resonator), bound ebony fretboard with "Steamboat Gothic" inlay pattern & John Hartford's name inlaid at 21st fret, nickel plated hardware, resonator walls tapered for better projection. Deering wooden archtop hardshell case.
