Guild's flagship model, the D55 was first introduced in 1968 as a special order item only, but the response was so strong that within a few years it was added to the line as a regular production model. The D55 is prized by playersfrom John Renbourn to the Barenaked Ladies. This model features a Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, a three-piece Mahogany neck, Ebony bridge and fretboard with Mother-of-Pearl and Abalone block position inlays, D-TAR electronics, and G-shield logo. Hardshell case included.
