OLD-TIME KENTUCKY FIDDLE TUNES by Jeff Todd Titon: Kentucky has produced some of the best music and musicians of the old-time, bluegrass, and country genres. Nearly 200 old-time fiddle tunes are transcribed here, many for the first time. From Ed Haley to J.P. Fraley, these Kentucky source musicians, many born before 1900, were skilled in styles and repertoires that are now extremely rare. Titon places the tunes in context by discussing tune histories, repertoiries and the fiddlers themselves.
